Login

Login to admin area on right side bottom menu with your Username and Password from your blogs home page.

Dashboard

When you enter the admin area everything you can do within this area is listed on this first page called the dashboard.

Posts

Edit

You can edit an existing post by clicking on edit under the post heading. All posts will be listed. Simply click on the post to edit.
• Upload/Insert
  The post shows in the first rectangle. In this area you can add images, text, video and music. The icons at the top next to Upload/insert will help you with these.
• All other options are explained under insert fields.
• click update on your right to save the changes.

Add New

• Add is similar to edit, enter the text, images, media or music.
• Select the category on the right menu (which is the page).
• Please note at the bottom of the page is the Discussion option, please have these options ticked if you wish discussion from internet users.
• Then press preview on the right menu or publish to upload to the site.

Categories
Create a new category.
Every Post in WordPress is filed under one or more Categories. Categories allow the classification of your Posts into groups and subgroups, thereby aiding viewers in the navigation and use of your site.

• Enter category name and slug.(which is explained).
• From the Category Parent drop down box, if you want to put the new category as a main category select none, or if you want it as a sublink from a main link select that category from the drop down.
• Next add a description if you wish.
• Click add category.

The Category will now be available when adding a post.

MEDIA

Media is the images, video, recordings, and files, you upload and use in your blog. Media is typically uploaded and inserted into the content when writing a Post or Page.

• Library: holds all you video, media files
• Add a new file like video. etc

LINKS

The links are external links to other sites. It appears on the Blogroll by default (unless you specify a new category) on the right hand side. All fields are explained on the site page.

If you require another category for your links, like blogroll simply enter the details in the form provided and click Add category down the bottom of the page.

PAGES

A Page is another tool to add content to a WordPress site and is often used to present "static" information such as an about or contact page.

APPEARANCE

Themes
Shows a list of all the themes available. Select the one you want.

Widgets
Add widgets, like calendars etc

Editor

PLUGINS

Plugins allow you to add new features to your WordPress blog that don't come standard with the default installation.

USERS

In this section you can view, add or delete users. As well as change profile information.

Authors & Users
A list of all authors that might write blog posts for you.

Add new
Add a new user or author. If you want to give someone else access to your blog you can create a new username and password for them.

WordPress Tools provide you the ability to speed up WordPress for your local machine, import content from other sources, export your content, or to upgrade your WordPress software to a new release.

All your information regarding your sites personal settings.
Includes things like Blog Title, email address, membership, image size etc
